Rules for beginners (diet, supplements)

Beginnings with sport are not easy, although at first glance, they may seem like that. Many people want to throw themselves into deep water and achieve success in a short time. However, it should be remembered that pursuing a goal in sport is a long-term process that involves many factors. So we have to start from seemingly small things, to gradually improve and exceed our own abilities. Only then will the effects be permanent and health will not be harmed. In addition, it’s important from the psychological point of view, because if we set unrealistic, exorbitant goals at the beginning, we lose motivation to act quickly.

Adapting the training to your own abilities at the beginning may cause some difficulties, however, over time, listening to your body and reading its needs and predispositions will be easier. At the beginning, it’s worth taking advantage of the advice of a professional who will help us with choosing physical activity. It’s certainly a great idea to use the services of a personal trainer. Their work is based on an individual approach to each mentee, which is why when deciding on such activities we can be sure that they will be individually tailored to our abilities.

The personal trainer will not only perform for the training plan, but will also facilitate the task with diet and organize a nutritional program. Regardless of whether we decide to consult a trainer or plan our work ourselves, focusing on the diet should be our priority. Without proper nutrition, we have no chance that our body can develop and regenerate properly after intense physical exercise. Training effects are not only the merit of numerous series and repetitions of a given exercise, but it’s also the result of a properly selected diet that significantly supports the body. Any shortages may result in a lack of progress at best. To avoid this, it’s necessary to eat all the essential nutrients – proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. In a situation when we are just starting our adventure with sport, proper nutrition can be a bit of a problem because we do not know what we can eat and in what quantities.

Apart from healthy meals, rich in all nutrients, it’s also worth reaching for , because the body’s demand increases with increasing physical activity levels. A good solution is to include vitamins and minerals in the form of capsules with a natural composition in your diet. It will support not only immunity, but also endurance and efficiency, because these components affect many important functions of the body and facilitate its work. If we are wondering whether novice athletes can supplement various types of protein supplements, training boosters and other such preparations, then the answer is yes. However, it should be remembered that these supplements have a natural composition and are highly bioavailable, and the amount of such preparations is important – you should make changes gradually. The most popular solution is taking protein, which is very effective, because it’s a building material for muscles, which is why it allows their regeneration and growth. At the beginning, however, it’s worth checking how the protein is tolerated by our body. If one of them does not serve us, try another one, because one ingredient may be responsible – casein, whey, soy, etc. In addition to protein supplements, it’s also worth reaching for training boosters and carbohydrates that will increase endurance and energy during, and after exercise. Beginners can use basically anything, but moderation is important, because you first need to get to know your body and its reactions to various supplements. In the initial period of physical activity it’s better to avoid creatine, because it has a strong action, which works well with advanced athletes, and does not always serve beginners. First of all, it’s important to have a healthy attitude and concern for health first, and later for effects.
